Shae

Optician / Technician

Shae grew up in Brock, TX and has lived in the Weatherford area her whole life. She began working for Family Eye Care in July of 2015. Shae quickly learned the skills she needed to be a great optician! She loves helping our clients select that perfect pair of glasses and is constantly networking with our frame vendors to keep up with the newest styles and designer trends. We'd like to say that it's because of Shae that we offer the best and largest eyewear selection in Parker County!

Shae loves to travel whenever she gets the chance. Her favorite places that she's traveled are Haiti and Norway.

Joyce

Lead Clinic Technician / Contact Lens Technician / COA Certified

Joyce is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Ohio State University. She currently resides in Aledo after traveling around the world with her husband throughout his 20 year career in the USAF. She has two grown children and five grandchildren.

Joyce has worked in the eye care industry for 16 years as an ophthalmology clinician and a contact lens specialist. She began working for Dr. Lanier in 2009, when she and her family moved here from San Angelo, TX. Joyce brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our practice, and is a great resource as well as role model for our younger technicians. In her spare time, Joyce loves gardening and biking, but most of all she loves spending time and making memories with her grandchildren.

Rosa

Receptionist

Rosa grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico, where (we learned from reliable sources) she was a star softball player on her hometown high school team. Rosa has worked in the eye care industry for 28 years. We were fortunate enough to add her to our staff in 2013. It is her beautiful smile that will probably greet you as you come in for your appointment! Her excellent organizational skills help keep our front desk operating so smoothly. Rosa and her husband have been married for 33 years. They have 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. When she's not busy with work and family life, Rosa makes beautiful jewelry and tends to her amazing flower garden.

Cynthia

Technician / Insurance / Contact lens technician

Cynthia recently moved to Texas from Artesia, New Mexico. She grew up in Carlsbad, NM. She joined the Family Eye Care team in July of 2016, after being in the eye care field for 3 years. She loves Texas and especially Texas hospitality! "Everyone is so nice in Texas!" Cynthia is a pre-test/special testing technician as well as one of our contact lens technicians. She also assists in the insurance department with insurance pre-certification.

Steve

Lab Technician / Optician / ABO Certified

Steve grew up in Crowley and went to college at Tarrant County College and Universtiy of North Texas. He moved his family to Aledo in 2008 and joined Dr. Lanier and the team at Family Eye Care. Steve's an optician with 23 years of experience! After several years with FECC, Steve transitioned to our on-site lab and trained to be a lab technician.

Thanks to Steve's hard work and dedication, we can provide great quality eye wear and customization on site, allowing us to provide better service, better quality, AND shorter turn around time on glasses.

In his spare time, Steve loves to play guitar and spend time with his beautiful wife and family. He's a starving artist/musician at heart!

Ben

Optician / Technician / ABO Certified

Ben was born and raised in Southern California. He joined Family Eye Care in July, 2016. Ben received his ABO certification in 2003 and has 13 years of experience in the optical field. Ben has been a huge asset to our team, as he brings his years of knowledge and experience with him. He can frequently be seen in the optical, educating our patients on different lens types and attributes. Ben also assists in the pre testing and special testing.

Ben came to Texas to marry his lovely bride, Mindy. They settled in Granbury where Mindy teaches Spanish at Granbury High School. They have 2 beautiful daughters. With Ben's love for fishing and hunting, we'll make a true Texan out of him yet!

Saundra Lanier, RN

Office Manager

In her earlier career, Saundra worked as a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience in Critical Care in the ICU and ER settings. She took a decade off from the working world to be a mom and raise three handsome sons. Now, she serves as our office manager. She has an excellent command of almost all areas of the practice. She is particularly keen on delivering the best possible office experience for our customers. She is an exceptional resource for our staff and our patients.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening (she has quite the green thumb) and attending TCU football and baseball games with her husband of almost 30 years, Dr. Steve Lanier. The two of them spend a lot of time on the road supporting and encouraging their sons at Texas A&M and Oklahoma State!

Our exceptional, friendly staff is our greatest asset. They are excited about what they do, and they care personally about getting the best results for our patients.

Born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia, Dr. Lanier is a converted Texan. He fell in love with Texas after coming to TCU on a trumpet scholarship to pursue a major in music! Needless to say, after a few years he changed his major and received his BS in Biology from TCU in 1982. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston in 1988. He is certified by the Texas Optometry Board and is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. He currently holds memberships in both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

Dr. Lanier is married and has 3 sons. He and his wife, Saundra can be found on any given weekend attending the TCU football games or baseball games, when not traveling to Texas A&M or Oklahoma State to visit their sons in college.
